Facebook is going to implement and offer a new app to its users known as the Facebook Paper app. The purpose of the Facebook Paper App is to provide users increased convenience to access stories, images, and other content through a more aesthetic experience.
The ‘Paper’ app has been created to provide a graphic experience similar to that of a newspaper. Every story, image or piece of content will appear in themed boxes that are scattered around a page. Instead of having to click on a link, content will appear in smaller graphics that connect to links.
The application is also highly customizable. Facebook allows its users to choose the themes of these little boxes. The themes can be selected from a wide range from topics such as technology, sports, and many others. The application will also allow users to seamlessly connect to other portals such as popular blogs and publications. Paper will display interesting content that users would have otherwise missed by showing articles that have been Liked by many or those that the editor thinks are great. The promise is that you will no longer have to search for content that interests you, ‘Paper’ will bring it to you.
Whether you are looking to read an article or a conversation, view a photograph, or watch a video, all it takes is a few intuitive movements that range from tilting your phone (to view panoramic photos) to sliding your thumb to travel between various themed boxes. Another interesting feature of the Facebook Paper App is its previews function. When users create content for posting, they will now be able to see how the content will be viewed by their audiences, before posting the content.
